The Bridgeport Hardinge GX1000 features a generous machining envelope with 40 inches of X axis travel, 24 inches of Y axis travel, and 25 inches of Z axis travel, providing ample capacity for the manufacture of tooling, fixtures, workholding systems, and production components. Its 48 inch by 24 inch table supports workpieces weighing up to 2,200 pounds, allowing for the efficient machining of large assemblies and tooling plates. Powered by a 20 horsepower spindle capable of speeds up to 10,000 RPM, the GX1000 delivers the performance and versatility required for both aggressive material removal and precision finishing operations across a wide range of materials.
Tool Capacity & Automation
The Bridgeport Hardinge GX1000 is equipped with a 30 tool automatic tool changer, allowing a wide range of cutting tools to remain readily available for complex machining operations. This expanded tool capacity reduces setup times and minimizes manual intervention by enabling the machine to efficiently transition between roughing, finishing, drilling, tapping, and contouring operations within a single setup.
